How to use dip powder in your nails

Follow the next steps carefully, or check the video below.

For Dip Liquids

1. Apply our Step 1 Bond if you want your mani to last for weeks. Skip this step if you use a peel base.

2. Apply a thin coat of our Step 2 Base Coat in a stripe down the middle of the nail, and quickly dip into the dip powder. Tap off excess powder and then brush off with a fluffy brush. Repeat the process on all your nails.

3. Apply another thin layer of our Step 2 Base Coat, this time covering about 2/3 of the way up the nail, and then dip in the powder, brush off excess & repeat process on all nails.

4. Again apply a thin layer of our Step 2 Base Coat covering the entire nail all the way to cuticle without touching the cuticle, dip into the powder. Immediately after dipping, run our precision tool (or a toothpick) along the cuticle for a clean cuticle line and brush off the excess. Repeat process on all nails.

5. Apply a thin layer of our Step 2 Base Coat covering the entire nail all the way to cuticle without touching the cuticle. Dip into our clear powder called GLASS to fully encapsulate the pigmented color or glitter. Immediately after dipping, run our precision tool (or a toothpick) along the cuticle for a clean cuticle line and brush off the excess. Repeat process on all nails.

6. Scrub nails once fully dry with a stiff bristled brush to remove the excess glass powder fully.

7. Generously apply our Step 3 Activator. Let it dry for 1-2 mins.

8. File, buff, and shape your nails until they are completely smooth.

9. Wash hands under water ONLY. Do not use soap. Dry completely.

10. Generously apply our Step 3 Activator again on all nails and wait 30-45 seconds (no longer).

11. Wipe each nail with a lint free wipe or paper towel really well.

12. Apply one thin, quick layer of our Step 4 Top Coat in about 2 to 3 strokes on all nails.

13. Immediately after the first layer of Top Coat on the last nail, apply a second layer of our Step 4 Top Coat to all the nails. This time you can take more time and be more detailed, ensuring the sides and tip of the nail fully covered. Avoid touching the cuticles. Repeat on all nails.

14. Our Step 4 Top Coat is extremely fast drying. It should be dry in about 30 seconds. Dry time may take longer if a thick coat is applied.

15. Apply cuticle oil, and you are done!

For Gel Liquids

NOTE: *You will need a UV lamp with a minimum of 48 watts to use gel liquids.*

1. Apply Gel Base to the nail in a thin, even layer. Avoid touching the cuticles and sidewalls of the nail.

2. Pour the dip powder over the wet gel liquid. Tap off excess dip powder and clean around cuticles with a precision tool or orange woodstick.

3. Place hand under UV lamp with a minimum of 48 watts and cure for 30-60 seconds. (Time will vary with each light)

4. Remove hand, brush off all excess powder from your nails. The powder will be cured at this point, so it will not smear.

5. Repeat on all nails.

6. Once excess powder is brushed off, repeat steps 1-4 two more times.

7. 🌟If clear encapsulation is desired, repeat steps 1-4 again using Glass to clear encapsulate. Then use a high grit 180+ buffer to smooth the surface of the nail.

8. 🌟If Gel liquid encapsulation is desired, apply Gel Base, Cure for 60 seconds then apply Gel Top and cure for 60 seconds. Then buff with a high grit buffer 180+ until nails are smooth.

9. Apply a thin layer of Gel Base to all of your nails and cure for 60 seconds.

10. Then, without touching your nails, apply a thin-medium layer of Gel Top coat to all of your nails and cure for 60 seconds.

11. The Gel Top coat is not wiped, meaning your nails will not be sticky after curing.

12. Apply cuticle oil and you’re done!
